The JCS Project
The JCS Project focuses on encouraging young HBCU students (ages 17-24) to not only go to college but to finish. We are able to do this by providing FREE College Care Packages to HBCU Students. The care packages that we give are stuffed with Snacks, Words of Encouragement Cards, HBUC Buttons and Stickers. We also host volunteer opportunities throughout the community.
More About JCS:
Every January, in Houston, we host a Scholarship Breakfast and award 10+ HBCU Students. They then serve as the Ambassadors of the organization for the that school year.
Every July we host our annual Back2School College Drive. We provide 100+ FREE College Care Packages to students right here in Houston before they leave to go to various HBCU Campuses.
We also have an HBCU Campus Tour. We travel all over to different colleges/universities and give out 100 FREE College Care Packages at each stop. So far we have been to Texas Southern, Prairie View, Grambling State, Southern, Dillard, Xavier, SUNO, Alcorn State, Jackson State, Tougaloo, Philander Smith, Morehouse, Spelman and Clark Atlanta.
As you can see there is so much that we are doing and so much more we plan to do! Check back for future events! We are always doing something!
